A word of warning: Be careful of the cheapest logo options!
A cheap looking logo and branding can deter potential customers very quickly… and could cost you more in the long run.
While there are some very cheap logo “design” websites out there, they usually won’t provide you with a bespoke service.
You are unlikely to receive a tailored design that is unique to your company.
Many of these sites offer logos for a ‘fiver’ or for a tiny budget, some say they will supply a huge selection, perhaps from many different designers.
You’ll never meet these designers, they don’t know you and often will just copy-and-paste your company name on to generic forms of ‘clip-art’.
Quantity does not mean quality!
Understand the risks with mass-supply logo websites
Be very cautious, some websites mass produce logos and even sell the same ones thousands of times over to unsuspecting customers.
Do you want a unique identity for your business or the same one as your competitor in the same city?
Sometimes these ‘cheap logo’ websites will take full payment and supply nothing, they could also be based in various countries worldwide where you may find chasing a refund impossible.
Some sites have been known to steal logo designs from designers and established brands only to change the name and sell to unsuspecting buyers. This can result in a loss for the buyer as the logo is then useless to them due to copyright laws.
And yes, the original designer or owner could take legal action against you.
Make informed decisions
I don’t want to scare you, just inform you of the possible pit-falls.
If you do choose to go down this route, don’t invest too much time or money… and please be careful!
I’d highly recommend skipping the ‘cheap’ options all together.
Simply find and hire a professional designer or creative agency at the outset.
